Associate Director or Research Director to join a leading market research agency in Oxfordshire. You will take full responsibility for project research requirements of nominated clients. The market research director will have a good first degree or equivalent; be a team player; have a "hands-on approach; and must have solid "ad hoc" quantitative and, ideally, qualitative experience in consumer market research. Background experience can be in any sector.

You will contribute as a key member of the research team to achieve the continuing growth of the company. There are a number of aspects to the job:

A first dimension is managing a large portfolio of client accounts. You will have ultimate responsibility for the quality of service provided and business developed on allocated accounts; for the provision of internal consultancy and sign off (as appropriate) on research design, proposal and debrief content; and the provision of a senior presence (gravitas) at key client interface situations.

As Market Research Director you will add value to the client experience in NPD and research; decide on the identification of business risk and development opportunities within accounts and the implementation of appropriate solutions; and promotion of all the company's proprietary methodologies to all potential customers within accounts. You will deliver an agreed value of business from existing and new clients in line with overhead recovery and net profitability targets.

You will secondly, also be involved in new client development. This will include the generation of new business through warm leads generated by the company and from other personal contacts; the generation of new business through cold leads as appropriate; and the generation of warm leads through promoting awareness of the company amongst potential clients and contacts.

A third aspect is the management, leadership and development of Associate Directors (who lead account teams) and other Senior Research staff, as appropriate.

There are entry points at AD or RD level. Salary will be in the range ca. £40,000- 60,000 depending on work background and experience but this will not be a bar in recruiting outstanding candidates.
